Availability: There are not many villas for sale on Paxos as most provide good returns if rented out either through a tour operator or privately during the summer months. However, here is a selection of those currently for sale. We have also included some old houses that have already been restored. Advantages and Disadvantages of Buying a Villa: Buying a villa is the best option if you need a property quickly, although you may need to do some decorating and carry out some minor alterations. You do pay more for a villa than you would to buy land and build your own house, or to buy and restore an old house, but you have none of the headaches and delays associated with either of the other options. The Process of Buying a Villa: The process of buying a villa is fairly straightforward too. If you find a property you like, then you just make an offer and, if this is accepted, your lawyer can take it from there. It will still take a while for your lawyer to check the titles etc, but once this is done the contract can be signed, and you can move in. Many properties come fairly well-furnished too, so you literally can move straight in. Guide Price: The price of land and property on Paxos is rising fairly quickly at the moment. We have therefore decided to provide a ‘Guide Price’ for the land and properties on this website rather than a fixed price. It is always possible that you may be able to persuade an owner to accept less than the ‘Guide Price’, but on the other hand you may have to pay more. We try to keep the ‘Guide Price’ for each property up to date and most of them are accurate. However, please be aware that in the present climate even when an owner has agreed a price for his property, he may subsequently decide to increase it. You might therefore like to consider entering into a pre-contract with the owner but should discuss this first with your lawyer.
